Etienne has decided that lying on the floor and sitting on the floor are for babies and he is now a big boy. He only wants to be in a standing position which when combined with his love to be in your arms leads to the human jungle gym syndrome. His huge feet jabbing you in the love handle is actually quite painful, plus the dude weighs about a ton !

Here he stands at the TV with his sister before heading out to Cezanne’s gymnastics class.

Etienne has discovered play and that we have a basement filled with toys. One of his absolute favorites is Cezanne’s Dora tent, he loves to crawl through the door flaps and peep out and then crawl back inside. He is very interested in doors, he loves opening and then closing a door. His crawling is getting better, he is now really quite fast and you can not leave him unattended at all !!

Just too cute not to capture and post, Etienne really loves bath time and when we are not fast enough he waits for us at the bath. If he could climb in on his own I am sure he would.

Etienne is now only interested in standing and skooching along as fast as he can from point A to point B. He does not want to be lying down or even sitting, he will do what ever he can to get onto his feet. He loves playing at the table toys or anything on a table or chair. The only time he will still lie and play is if it is with the Dorpie ( village ) and only if Cezanne is playing with him…

Cezanne got a couple of balloons from who knows where and they were lying around the house when Etienne found them and of course tried to bite them. I tied them up on a light fixture and let him try get them but it was not much fun and he showed signs of getting really angry so I took them down and disposed of them quickly. The little guy seems to have even less patience than Cezanne… Wonder where he gets that from…

Etienne is now really fast on all fours. His crawling is getting better but he still sails along on his tummy. He can do a full push up on to his toes even but has not yet figured out what to do with this knees and legs. He has even started showing an interest in climbing the stairs which freaks me out a bit…

We are growing bigger and stronger everyday. Today I went to fetch him from his nap and found him standing up at the crib railing. It made me think back to the days when Cezanne would greet me this way.

Etienne has also mastered clapping hands and smacking hands on the table on his eating chair or just the floor in front of him when he is on his belly. Etienne also continues to master the flirting skills, his blue eyes and 6ft long eye lashes are a fatal combination - watch out ladies…
